When The Twin Towers, the Pentagon and Our Freedom was attacked on 9/11/2001, life as we knew it came to a screeching halt!
We stopped doing what was normal. Air travel was shut down for three days, the skies were silent. We stopped going out to dinner or a movie. Even the shopping malls were empty. We didn't make large purchases like cars and homes and we were afraid of the mail because of anthrax.
All because our confidence was shaken and our future was unsure.
The sights, sounds and emotions of that day has faded and they have been pushed to the back of our minds.
Today we are living our lives as usual.
We have been able to get back to "Normal" because thousands of men and women are taking care of things. They have not let those images get pushed to the back of their mind. They live that reality daily!
These men and women have been fighting this war since 2002.
They have restored our confidence, our security and our faith through their own sacrifice. They have sacrificed years!
Years with their children and spouses!
Years away from extended family and full time jobs!
They have sacrificed their bodies, their minds and their lives!
This benefit will help those that return home with injuries as a result of their service!
